Hello
Hi, I’m Emily! I’ve called Owatonna home for the past 21 years and am a Publishing Technology Analyst at Pearson. I’ve always been a crafty person—scrapbooking for nearly 30 years—and love bringing creative ideas to life. I also started and ran Pears On Print, a baby and children’s t-shirt business—you probably saw me at the Farmers Market or Rustic Mamas' Market, and I have also supported a few local organizations with graphic design and social media work. The Craft Apothecary is a passion project that blends my love for art, community, and sustainability—and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
Community Support
The community support has been amazing so far and we are just in the first week of this idea being alive and out in the wild (the scariest thing of all).
We are at over 60 online form submissions from locals who are interested in everything from helping to plan to wanting to shop! It'll take all and everything in between to help make this happen! I did a TikTok video that has over 16,000 views and hundreds of comments on it. Many of them are local and want to shop or get involved. Here are just a few quotes from form submissions.

Such a great need for this! Many Creatives have hoarded of supplies that are gathering dust. Love your messaging and visuals!- sara

I teach step by step painting and craft parties…. I am open to profit sharing such events to help support the growth of this kind of business as well as my own!

I love this idea, especially a space to do crafts with others or take classes. I also have many unfinished projects and supplies that need a home. Not sure how much I can offer but might be interested in the planning stages as well.

I am a long time Steele/Rice county resident, long time crafter, former craft instructor. I would love to help with getting this
re-use center going.
