Donations

We are currently accepting donations during Sunday CrafterNoons from 11am-4pm at the Rose Street Center. Stop by the Rose Street Center, 115 East Rose Street Owaotnna, we'll be in the Community Room! If its a bag or 2 bring it on in. We do have a cart and elevator available if you need it. If its a car load, stop in and I'll direct you to the loading dock to un-load there. We'll weigh donations and as a 501(c)3 we can provide a donation receipt if you'd like!

Donation Use Statement

All donated items become the property of The Craft Apothecary. Donations may be used as community tools and supplies or sold through our secondhand shop at The Craft Apothecary’s discretion. Proceeds from all sales directly support the programs, classes, and shared creative spaces of The Craft Apothecary and Owatonna Makerspace at The Rose Street Center. Thank you for your support!

Items Not Accepted

  • Boxes/bags with mold, animal droppings or insects

  • Items that smell smokey or mildewy

  • Broken, Damaged, or Unusable Items

  • Hardend clay, glue, paint, Play-Doh

  • Household linens with the exception of some quilts finished or unfinished or vintage and reusable linens

  • Household paint

  • Building supplies*

  • Costumes, parts of costumes, costume jewelry

  • Household recyclables such as paper towel tubes, boxes, empty food containers

  • Clothing of any kind

  • Classroom decor and teaching curriculum items
    (this may change in the future depending on available space)

  • Wedding or Party Decor

  • Candles (unless it is candle making supplies) 

  • Holiday decorations such as lights and finished ornaments.

Accepted Items

A few items that we are looking for as we start out:

The Craft Apothecary

  • Art, craft, and hobby supplies (fabric, craft paint, art brushes, yarn, paper, scrapbooking materials, beads, etc.)

  • Crafting tools and equipment, Cricut machines including older cartridge machines or the newer ones.

  • Storage bins and containers for organizing materials

  • Art and craft books and patterns for sewing, crochet, knitting, etc.

  • 3 tier rolling craft carts (such as the crafting once found at IKEA/Michael's/etc.)

Owatonna Makerspace

  • Wood—2x4's and plywood

  • Building tools, small equipment in good working condition, screws, nails, etc.

  • Stained Glass materials and tools
