I hope you had a nice holiday and found some time to rest and recharge and hopefully work on some hobbies! I wanted to send a quick message to The Craft Apothecary Friends with a few updates.
Sunday CrafterNoons at Rose Street
We are continuing community craft time in 2026! Every Sunday 11am–4pm come to the Rose Street Center (home of The Craft Apothecary) and spend some time with community and creativity. Bring your own project, bring a snack, we have tables and comfy chairs. The Apothecary isn't open yet so we don't have our full offering of supplies and tools to start out with but we wanted to start coming together and creating! Register at the links below to reserve your spot, pay in person ($5 fee).
Steele County Fix-It-Clinic
The Craft Apothecary is partnering with Owatonna Makerspace, Steele County, and Owatonna Community Education to host a Fix-It-Clinic at Rose Street Center on March 21st. We could use volunteer fixers who have experience in fixing small household appliances/electronics, sewing/mending, etc. Follow along on our Facebook Page and check out the registration links below for more information!
The Craft Apothecary and Owatonna Makerspace Progress
Things are still happening to make this a reality! We've taken in over 1600 pounds of donated art and craft supplies! We will be hosting more donation days so keep a look out for those dates. As for the space; we are waiting on accessibility updates to be completed, we'll paint, then we can get started on building out the space! In the meantime check out our Sunday CrafterNoons at Rose Street!
We are asking people to hold off any donations until our next donation day or alternatively once we schedule our next donation day we'll be able to also accept donations on Sundays going forward as well. Our shelves are quite full (which is amazing!) but we will have to move everything around to be able to paint and start building our display shelves.
I'm excited for 2026 and looking forward to more crafts and creative time at The Craft Apothecary and Rose Street Center!
